From Hurricane Sandy to Sandy Hook – It feels like a sand storm.

Is our country going through a fundamental transformation? Only several weeks have past, but it could have been a lifetime.

From the time that Sandy hit landfall our government has been working overtime on misinformation. Now, doublespeak is nothing new to Washington, but it has gone into turbo charge. First, they successfully convinced the nation that everything was under control and that the people effected by Hurricane Sandy were taken care of. As time will tell, and as I’ve been saying all along this was Katrina II.

Then came their big opportunity, to politicize the Sandy Hook Shooting in CT. Almost immediately, they started with their extreme left-wing  agenda of calling for a gun ban while assuring the public that they have their best welfare in mind. Unfortunately, the vast majority of people don’t see what is happening before their own eyes. Democracy is quickly becoming a memory of the past as we refuse to question what legitimate role government plays in our lives.

On one hand FEMA tells us that is important to have a three day supply on hand just in case. But dare someone suggest that that might be insufficient and that it might be prudent to stock up more, they will immediately be labeled a Doomsday Prepper and a danger to the fabric of our society! They will be held responsible for every type of atrocity in the book. Because, it is inconceivable that one cannot be 100% dependent on the government.

We just need to look back to our Founding Fathers and how they framed our system of government. We the People, were always the ones that should control the power of the government. They should always be “independent contractors”, hired and fired by us depending on the quality of the job that they do. But the sandy storm that blinds the vast majority of us has started up their 24/7 propaganda machines to convince the public that independence and self-reliance are negative traits. They government’s role is all encompassing and that we should just sit back and  shut up.

Well, the Prepper Community is here to combat that type of rhetoric which is frankly Un-American.  Now, more than ever, we need to come out strong against this lunacy and announce to the world that we will not lie back idly as our country is taken from us. We need to educate the public on the principles that our Republic was founded on and never give up. Our lives and the lives of our descendants will be determined by how well we make this case and spread the message!
