I’ve often wondered why the progressives desire to disarm law-abiding Americans. I still don’t get it. As many are aware, more people are killed by hammers and the like than ‘assault rifles’. Facts don’t matter the the progressives. I ran across this pic while surfing and it stuck in my mind. Not just Jews, but also those that sought individual liberty.

While doing some early morning PT (walking the dog) in NY, a thought crossed my mind. I slowly began to get off the cool aid after I bought my first handgun over 20 years ago. I just wanted it for target practice. Reviewing the byzantine laws concerning a fire arm at the time (I’m sure it’s worse now), I realized two things. (1) For the first time I realized the Constitution was being ignored. I was a law abiding citizen who wanted to take a pistol to the woods and shoot at some cans and melons. To bear a fire arm on my person and in my car without permits was risking significant jail time, and short of that, bankrupting legal fees.  It was safer to get a carry permit – and so I did. (2) If the government lied about the obeying the 2nd Amendment, what else were they lying about. Unlike Michelle, it was the first time in my life I was not proud about my country.

Enemy of the State? ^&%$ that, the State is the enemy of the individual. And individuals compose the State, so that road littered with the corpses of enemies of the Sates eventually leads to the end of the State as seen in the former Soviet Union, Communist China, and other States that put themselves above the individual.

About 15 years later, I stopped the cool-aid. I don’t like what I see
